Michael J. Lindell founded the MyPillow after years of research. He experimented with fillers and fabrics before creating and patenting the MyPillow. After his years of research Lindell chose an open-cell, poly-foam pillow design.
He sold his first MyPillow in 2005 at a kiosk, and refused to stop their. His company struggled for years, before becoming the household name that it is today. Lindell claims to have tested 94 different foams before he found the one for him. His pillow mix also contains a resin that enables the foam to keep the majority of its shape, giving the user maximum comfort.
After weeks of using this product, I can personally say that I love it. This can also be caused by hearing his commercials every night as I fall asleep.
